Impending Danger

A girl is going to get a cellular implant that can track her IF she is abducted. “If a car is stolen, it can be fitted with a computer to enable it to be tracked – so why not apply the same principle to finding missing children?”…Where to start?!

Thanks Dwight

I’ve got to take slippery slope on this one. The fact that they’ll do it in children makes me really nervous about how quickly it could move to adults…I mean…let’s say it starts with (prior) prisoners…they don’t have to check in with their parole officer if they wear this little device. And if they break the rules, then slap it in them anyway. They deserve it, right?

I’m surprised this has not happened before now. I don’t see anything wrong with it as long as the child has the option to remove it when they turn 18. I’d imagine that people will get “smart” to it and start lopping off arms when they kidnap kids though.

I can hear the protests now about the “slippery slope”, so call it whatever you want. I remember being called alarmist when I made a big deal about pets being implanted with tracking chips. I was told “Pets are one thing, but people would never submit to embedded chips ala ‘Mark of the Beast.'” Uh-huh. Blow the dust off George Orwell, and uh… Daniel and John.
