This is one of my favorite books ever. If you don’t know the premise, the book is written in the form of letters from a demon uncle Screwtape to his nephew Wormwood, who is just learning how to tempt. It is more insightful into the psychology of temptation than anything else I’ve read. C.S. Lewis is awesome. As Screwtape tells his nephew how to tempt, we learn the exact opposite of good theology. It’s a quick read, and worth every minute. Especially revealing is Lewis’s look into relationships and mistakes humans make early on.
