"How I lost the big one"

It’s too long and probably on a specific enough topic that most of you won’t read it, but I would recommend it. It is an article about the disappearing of the concept of public domain because of a Supreme Court Decision.

Thanks Ben

I didn’t read the whole article, but this is a tough one. I’m all for public domain, but I’m also not much of a creative person. I don’t write music or novels, etc, so there’s no chance of my work being misused or taken advantage of in the future.
It sounds like this guy’s argument is that copyright is only important for the works that still possess some profit power, and that otherwise copyrights only serve to keep obscure works in the shadows. If this really is the case, it would be interesting to see some type of system where copyrights could be renewed individually.
