I read this on my way to some security training in Las Vegas. The book was entertaining, and written in an interesting style. It’s setup as a series of chapters, each written by a hacker involved in a small piece of a larger plan to “own a continent”. Following each chapter is another smaller story about whoever it was that was involved in the forensics of the attack. All of the attacks are pieces of a hacker mastermind’s plan. I don’t feel like the stories really tie together that well, but maybe it’s just how I read it. Even though that’s the case, I still would recommend this to someone as a quick easy read that’s enjoyable for those with a security interest.
Note: This book review has been included in my site for historical purposes. I might not hold the same views as I did when it was written. If I don’t, hopefully I’m more right now…
