Paint yourself into a Faraday Cage

There’s a new company offering a paint that will keep wifi signals from leaking out of a room painted with it. I like it.

“We knew of people inundated with interference on their wireless systems. In fact, Diane, in her apartment, could find eight wireless networks around her. She needed to shield herself.”

I can understand the annoyance, but I’m willing to bet that at least one of those was unprotected. Free high speed internet access isn’t such a bad thing.

I’d go the other route and say that probably only one of them was protected… The one who found out how to setup MAC authentication in their cute little linksys. :-/

I’d love some free bb. 🙂

I’ll be interested if/when some people start getting prosecuted for piggybacking off of another’s connection. The likelihood of getting caught is so small, but it’s enough to make me think twice about just connecting to any open access point. Did you guys hear about the guy who got prosecuted because he checked his email from a wireless network at a Lowe’s (there might have been more involved than that, but I’m pretty sure it was innocent).
