Sarah and I watched the premiere of Iron Chef America tonight. Alton Brown (who I like more and more) makes the show. I love the research that he puts into stuff and how he practically ties it into his commentary. The thing I don’t like about the show is how the dishes are still very gourmet (what should I expect though). The presentation is really cool, but I don’t have any idea what most of this stuff would taste like. That’s what pushed me away from the original Iron Chef. Let’s see if this one is less obscure (shouldn’t an American version be?).

    There should be an Iron Chef where the secret ingredient is something that I might just happen to have laying around (in other words: not bison or catfish). Like: tuna in a can, or cottage cheese. Let them improvise with that and see what they really have!
