Google Maps

Once again, my jaw almost drops at what Google has done. I have a new favorite for maps and directions I think.

Arrow keys work to scroll around, plus and minus zoom in and out, works in Firefox and IE on mac and PC!

    They’ve outdone themselves.

They really have. I live in an apt. complex that somehow has baffled the USPS into thinking my address does not exist. My bank cannot mail things to me, and Mapquest says that it does not exist, yet Google, yes, dear Google not only believes in my street, they have outlined my parking lot including the grassed in gazebo area.

    Thanks Google!

My astonishment grows. Try typing in some of these:
    thai food in winston-salem
    McDonalds near 27104

It seems to keep track of where it thinks you are to narrow down results…limited my fun a little with nationwide searches, but helps tons in usability.

I’ve been dealing with some interesting things…like I’ll put in part of an address, GMaps (my nickname) will find it and “correct” it, and then it won’t be able to find it anymore. I suppose that’s why it says BETA after it…I’m so used to Google’s stuff (even betas) working perfectly…

I can find my road (which most maps don’t have) and it is labeled correctly…yet it can’t find it if i put the address in manually…
