Moblog (or whatever)

I can’t decide whether my picture posts from my phone should go under my journal or on a separate page somewhere (hidden where no one else would see them). Do the three of you that still read my site have any ideas?

It might fit, now that, according to the MandatoryCurfew Resolution Survey™, everyone is running at least 1024 wide. Any other votes?

  2. Jon says:

You could add them as a separate column, like your blog and journal, or would that be too busy?

…and while we’re on “site ideas for Derek” you might consider a second header for internal pages of your site. One that is not so large. Maybe just nav buttons and a title or something. So that when viewing images in the database or reading a Recent Opinion you don’t have to be distracted by it. The header on the main page remains great!! Just a thought…

I would put them in Journal and maybe make the frame a bit larger. As far as hierarchy goes I see your Journal as content that is generated by you personally, and the blog as links to other sources of content that you have come across or have been sent to you.

Then you wouldn’t get to see near as many of my cool pictures! But, I’m not closed minded to that.

I say you feed ’em into this column if possible. Helps keep things fresh.

I’ll most likely have some sort of text with every picture…but I have thought about putting it down in the middle of the footer…I think I’ll leave it as it is now until I figure out if I’m going to post enough to matter.

If it is only a picture post (no text) then maybe have it end up down to the right of the “Random Picture” and we can click on it to enlarge. Then when we do, it can then list the most recent pictures and so forth (if post a few in rapid succession, they wouldn’t be lost that way).

Keep those photos coming :o)It doesn’t matter where you put them. The fact that you post em is cool. Thanks for the photos.

I’m irritated…It’s almost time to update my RANT on SprintPCS. Seems that I constantly have problems submitting pictures. If I attach them to an email, they might or might not get through uncorrupted. And, with Sprint’s PictureShare service, they have designed it so that it’s really really un-fun to retrieve the picture from that. Oh well…later when I have more time maybe.
