Music

I started listening ot Eddie From Ohio this morning and started remembering music. I just don’t listen to much music any more. To fill the silence at work on quiet days. That’s about it. In my car I’m listening to sermons or something on WTRU. Music used to mean a lot to me, I think…at least for the memories it brought back. Strange, that now that I don’t listen to it anymore, there aren’t memories to bring back. Who would have thought.

Now I have.

I just haven’t decided if I want more music around or if I’m completely happy with music serving so much less of a role in my life than it has in the past. That was part of my (unfinished) thought process yesterday.

I can’t imagine life without music. Granted, i do listen to books etc. in the car the vast majority of the time. However, I do sit down regularly and get enveloped by the HiDef sound of my SACD/DVD-A player. Some of my most powerful “religious experiences” have been in the midst of well done music (often bluegrass or the likes of James Taylor). My soul just seems to resonate with it.
