    I think we’d be well advised to take even that information with a bit of a grain of salt, given the source. That said, i think it does show that we’d also be well advised to defer to the opinions of juries.

    Judging most “frivolous” lawsuits from the amount of information we get from the media would be the equivalent of judging the OJ case from simply knowing the glove didn’t fit and he was on a plane 45 minutes after the murders. In other words, it’s not a fair reflection of the situation.

    I have somewhat strong opinions on this sort of topic, as i’m sure you can imagine, but we’ll leave them for another day.

    A bit off-topic, but along the same vein, did anyone catch the Sundance Documentary “The Staircase”? It was about the Michael Peterson trial in North Carolina a few years back. I’m just curious as to how the information as it was portrayed in the documentary matched up with the local coverage that some here may be familiar with. Or for that matter, how it matched up with facts/theories that may have been left out.
