The last day

I’m headed home from Batavia tomorrow morning. Thanks to some advice from Jon and an unbelievable fish population in this lake, I caught two pretty good sized fish. The bass was about 15 inches and the pike more than 24 (by everyone’s estimation, but we were without a tape measure). I had my first attempt at cutting up a bass and it yielded two pretty decent fillets that were grilled up and eaten immediately.

What a catch! The last time I saw you holding up a fish (much smaller, by the way) was when you were in sixth grade. The fishing must be better in Batavia. Oh, yes, and Jon’s fishing advice is perhaps better than Dad’s!
