Back in the game

It’s been so long since I’ve worked out in the shop.  This weekend I got back into it and started work again on the “bathroom pantry” that I’ve had going for probably 9 months.  I got discouraged when I messed up almost an entire sheet of plywood by following the measurements for the dado joints in the drawing.  They were wrong.  So were the measurements for the large shelves and who knows what else (I’ll let you know when I get done).  But, I’m back on track.  Need to build the top, upper shelves and doors.  Then Sarah gets to paint it!

  5. hey derek!

this is some cool stuff you have posted on your woodworking projects. just the other night john(the other Clevenger brother) stopped by and mentioned that he had not seen you in awhile, but last he heard you had just installed a dust collection system in your workshop.

would you be interested in a few red oak boards, cut and split by hand? they are approximately(sp) 4-5 inches wide by 4-5 feet long, and around 2 inches thick at the moment. they are 1/4 split as well, not flat sawn.

if interested, maybe you could let john know, or myself and a few will be set aside for you. we also have some walnut too, smaller boards though.

well, hope to hear from you and maybe next time my spelling and punctuation will be better! Buona sera!
